We are excited to share with you, the Clevedon BID Proposal and Business Plan which aims to raise over £500,000 for investment in the main shopping, leisure and office areas of the town to:
- Market and promote Clevedon
- Connect the different parts of Clevedon
- Enhance Clevedon
Inside (please lick to open) you will find all you need to know about our ideas for the next five years (based on consultation with you – the local business community), how the BID will be run and how to become involved.
However the BID is only possible if a majority of businesses vote YES in the forthcoming ballot which will ensure funding to deliver these BID projects. There is a cost – for the average independent business this equates to between £4 and 5 per week. We firmly believe the benefits of the BID greatly outweigh this cost as evidenced by indicators in other established BIDs (such as Bedminster, which saw empty shops in the area reduce by over a third (34%) and a more vibrant and vital neighbourhood emerge).
We hope you are as positive as us about the prospects for the Clevedon BID and will help support the above aims by voting YES in the ballot (which runs from 21st March to 19th April – look out for plenty in the post in the coming weeks). Meantime. if you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact George Grace (07801790645, email@example.com) or attend a drop in session on 7th March, 10.30am-12pm at Harveys, 4/6 The Triangle; or same day 2-3.30pm, at Limehouse, 59 Hill Road.
Alternatively please do feel free to contact one of ourselves – the BID Steering Group listed below – and we will be very happy to meet with you.
