BUSINESSES VOTE YES FOR CLEVEDON BID!
We are delighted to be able to report that the result of the Clevedon BID ballot was positive with 62% of businesses voting in favour – ie nearly 2:1 – which is a strong and clear mandate for the business plan which sets out to improve marketing, connectivity and enhancement of the town’s retail and leisure streets. Full details of the result are set out in the table below:
|VOTES||RV||% VOTES||% RV|
(RV: rateable value)
Next steps for the BID are initially largely administrative and include formalising the BID in the shape of a limited company and organising election of directors – more details will follow shortly when we will write to all eligible businesses. Thereafter the BID will commmence work on behalf of Clevedon businesses focusing on the early agreed priorities of digital marketing, events, signage and car parking – please see pages 10 and 11 of the BID Proposal and Business Plan.
The BID is run by a steering Group which meets once a month – please get in touch if you are a Clevedon BID owner or manager and wish to attend and become a member of the BID Steering Group or a director of Clevedon BID Ltd. We hope you are as positive as us about the prospects for the Clevedon BID and if you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to contact George Grace (07801790645, firstname.lastname@example.org) to discuss matters or arrange for a meeting.
