DECEMBER NEWSLETTER – CHRISTMAS DRINKS INVITATION (AND MEET THE BID BOARD)

Welcome to our December newsletter.

BID CHRISTMAS DRINKS – WEDNESDAY 5TH DECEMBER 6PM AT PURO, 32 HILL ROAD

We know its the busiest time of year for most but we would be delighted if you could join us for a drink this week. Most of the BID board will be in attendance and so obviously it would be good to put names to faces, share some further ideas for the BID to pursue in an informal setting and raise a glass for the season. No need to reply – please just turn up. (NB – this event is for Clevedon business owners, managers or representatives).

THE BID EVENT – Collaboration and Community in Clevedon – last Wednesday

Last Wednesday nearly sixty businesses, community group leaders and residents came together at Clevedon Hall to brainstorm around their shared ambitions for Clevedon town centre(s). The evening culminated with numerous new ideas being voted upon to form a list of priorities for the BID and other stakeholders and interested parties to pursue over the coming months and years. Please see the summary recommendations below – more information on this and other priorities in the New Year.

PARKING REVIEW

Please remember North Somerset Council is conducting a parking review of the town. Clearly access is a key element of a successful shopping area and we believe there are many small but significant changes that could be made to double yellow lines, loading areas etc which will make a significant difference to many businesses. If you have any thoughts on how parking could be improved please contact:

John Fox (john.fox1957@googlemail.com) – for Triangle and Queens Square area

Sue Cooper (67baristabarber@gmail.com) – for Hill Road (and wider HASIT area)

Finally it only remains for us to wish you the very very best for Christmas and the New Year.
